Schaedle Worthington Hyde Properties (SWH Properties) was founded in 1991 as an apartment investment boutique to take advantage of an opportunistic buying window brought on by the Savings and Loan and related real estate market collapse. Through its ability to combine access to private equity, market knowledge and experience, and an entrepreneurial approach, SWH achieved outstanding equity returns while developing a strong reputation for strategic vision, insightful purchases and ability to execute. With changing market conditions, SWH Properties’ investment strategies evolved from acquisitions to development, to predominately liquidating most of its portfolio in 2005-2006 in an opportune “selloff” in anticipation of a market downturn.
In 2007, Bob Worthington, Pitt Hyde and John Pontius formed Worthington Hyde Partners (WHP), an entrepreneurial investor for real estate opportunities across broad market segments. Since then, they have actively invested in various creative debt and equity structures.
In 2012, WHP partnered with Soundview Real Estate Partners (SREP) and Tirrill Property Company (TPC) to form SWH Partners which specializes in multi-family and mixed use investments, including development and other value-creation strategies.
